Hermitage 09:55
Do you ever wish  To be a solo fish  Not following the school  Leading itself to the ditch  Conforming with falsehood’s joy  Taken advantage of like a used toy  Unable to ever think for yourself  Mentally impoverished even when surrounded by wealth Like me?  I see you paint your world  Like all the other girls  How much will it cost  For your Pyrrhic victory to unfurl  And the man who would overcome  The plateaus of mankind the dumb  Lives in a pipe dream under the sea  Yearning for a heaven that never will be  In isolation I want to be  Free from your reality  I hope to soon forget  The moment we first met  Momentary lapse in judgment   Birthed an eternity of regret  I hope to soon forget  The thought that we ever met  Which lives on in my head  With eternal regret I could never fit in  In the game (of life) I can never win  But I won’t fake a smile for the cameras Watching my explicit chagrin  On the blank white mountain Longing for death I escape  Treading in dread  Once again  Reading between the lies  Finding absolutely no surprise No trompe-lœil to fool my eyes  On the path of nature I progress through tonight  However moon dancers above  Absolve me of my wanderlust  Under trees dancing in the breeze  Liberated from your superficial humanity  Irony, agony, I walk alone and I’ll be free Into the solitude of the woods, the trees  Don’t come for me, leave me be  Loneliness is my reality To die without a grave.

A Cabin 06:47
Journey into the mountains,  Hoping to find and keep solace   In the gradient of radiant dawn  My eyes washed clean, sorrow’s gone   Endless viridian landscapes  A gaze into the moon unbridled  To become betrothed with the darkness Which brings peace unto my mind  A cabin in the mountainous forests  Contrast of colors in the Wyoming sky  Where I sojourn, breathing the wild air; Without a dark worry in the inhuman wind of wolves and bears Here I came to find solace... ...But, I have also found myself.

Mountainous spires  Adorned in firs  The sun has shined  But it’s now come its time  A gradient of blue and red  Of water and blood in the sky  Betwixt with consoling clouds  That have come to slay the light  Attrition proves the most fruitful  To conquer and dethrone the light A waiting game, Patience the key  The clouds come like warhorses  And all turns to black.

[Instrumental] “Behold, þe worshippers  For it shall soon grow colder than ice  When the sun descends  Into celestial, stellar death.”

Gone are the pagan dreams  But their sacrifice lives on, in memory  First to stand, the last to fall,  I’m like the echoes of the lone wolf’s howling call  Or as a puissant tree, perhaps of great oak; I still hear the songs of which my brethren spoke…echo… “Further beyond the stone’s throw and a throne of worries and throes We are sipping the wine of the starlight’s curse; And I, as I am basking in nightfall, satiate my ebony thirst” First to raise the sword, the last to unsheathe the white flag of surrender  The sole soul to see the dusk descend  And (live to) witness the rising dawns again  Beholding the red that’s turned to black  Down the road of rock towards the mountaintops  I still stand, even if by my lonesome self  My tenaciousness forged by the great gorge  Still standing, I am the last man  The last man standing on the mountain The fire may have died, but my spirit will forever survive.

Atmoblack/folk & nature concept album. Inspired by a trip to the Wyoming mountainside and landscapes and themes of cathartic escapism, by a sense of cleansing, as well as purification in, and submission to, the earth's natural beauty.
